Mitsubishi Forklift History

Mitsubishi Forklift Trucks is a part of Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), which is part of a larger group, Mitsubishi Group. Formed in 1992, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries started working with Caterpillar Inc. under the name Mitsubishi Caterpillar Forklift America Inc. (MFCA) to produce forklifts and materials handling equipment. In 2010, Jungheinrich Forklifts joined the partnership.

MFCA is headquartered in Houston, Texas, where they have over 600,000 sq. ft. of space for production. In this space, they are able to innovate and design for improvements in safety and efficiency in their equipment. The Grendia models are known for their low noise levels as well as their fuel efficiency. They have been designed ergonomically for maximum operator comfort. Mitsubishi forklifts can be operated under any environmental conditions, on nearly all types of terrain.

Mitsubishi incorporates modern robotics and other high-tech methods in their fabrication. They also have a very refined supply chain management process.
